Dust storms are sweeping across the Middle East in this image, captured by the MODIS on the Terra satellite on February 21, 2008. Iran is in the top left half of the image, with Afghanistan (top) and Pakistan (middle) to its right.
The dust storms are near the borders of these countries and are light tan in color. There were dust storms in Iraq two days prior.
