Pupils and staff at a Devon primary school are celebrating after receiving high praise from Ofsted inspectors.
Children at Rackenford CofE Primary were described as enthusiastic learners who enjoyed their lessons and achieved above average standards, by inspectors, who visited the school in June.
The team was also impressed with the youngsters' enthusiasm, their behaviour, both in lessons and around the school, and their contribution to the community.
The inspection team also noted an outstanding range and quality of additional activities outside the classroom which helped widen pupils' horizons and gave them "a good awareness of cultural diversity".
Headteacher Caroline Buckley and the school's governors were praised for fulfilling their roles "exceptionally well".
Mrs Buckley said: "I am delighted that the inspection recognised the many strengths of the school, particularly how happy the children are at school and their enthusiasm and enjoyment in learning."
