New DMB Album a 'Complete' Group Effort

The new Dave Matthews Band album will feature more material from band members whose names aren't part of the U.S. group's title, violinist Boyd Tinsley says.
Tinsley said every member of the band's lineup contributed to the writing process for the album, which he says was a complete collaborative effort, Billboard reported Friday.
It literally was a collaborative effort from beginning to end, Tinsley said. "Every song was written by everybody at the same time -- we've never really done that before.
We all got together and played and got these ideas, and we'd all work through building these songs all together. Everybody's just really excited about it.
Tinsley told Billboard the as-yet unnamed album -- the band's first since 2005's Stand Up -- will feature the return of guitarist Tim Reynolds to the fold.
Tim just sort of expands upon things, said Tinsley. He's such an amazing musician. (He) adds this quality to the music that opens it up.
