Raytheon Names Retired Air Force Lt. Gen. Thomas B. Goslin Jr. Director of Program Operations, Space Systems, in Aurora, Colorado

AURORA, Colo., July 29, 2005 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company has named retired Air Force Lt Gen. Thomas B. Goslin Jr. director of Program Operations for the company's Space Systems business unit in Aurora, Colo.

In this position, Goslin will be responsible for the strategic direction, leadership, and execution of Space Systems' programs. He will lead the Space Systems' program management team, ensuring quality, performance and customer satisfaction. In this role, he will oversee Space Systems operations for new and existing business.

Goslin began his career with the U.S. Air Force flying combat in Vietnam and Cambodia. Subsequently, he was an F-117 initial cadre pilot, a B-2 pilot and 509th Bomb Wing commander. Goslin was the U.S. Space Command's director of operations and commander of the Space Warfare Center in Colorado. In his most recent position, Goslin was deputy commander, U.S. Strategic Command at Offutt AFB, Neb., where he had responsibility for DoD (Department of Defense) missions: Space, Information Operations, C4ISR, Integrated Missile Defense and strategic deterrence. Goslin retired with more than 4,300 flying hours, including 635 combat hours.
Goslin holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Louisiana State University, New Orleans, and a master's degree in guidance and counseling from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, La.
