This quest is located in Skellige and is best done during Destination Skellige’s quest chain Echoes of the Past, Missing Persons, and Nameless. These quests are all related to our search for Ciri.
To start the quest:
- Head to the village of Larvik and look for Einar.
- Talk to him about the curse of Morkvarg, the undying werewolf inside Freya’s Garden.
- After the conversation, proceed to Freya’s Garden.
- Enter the cave located further back of the garden and observe Morkvarg.
- We will need to defeat Morkvarg in order to explore the cave for a bit before he is revived.
- Make sure to take the Werewolf meat after defeating Morkvarg. This will come in handy later.
- With the help of the mini map, explore the garden until you find a well.
- Climb down the well to explore and find the Key to Freya’s Garden.
- Look for this patch inside the cave and when we interact with it, a resurrected Morkvarg starts to attack.
- Defeat Morkvarg again until a cut scene plays.
- After the cut scene, we will then be presented with options. Select the one to feed Morkvarg and in our quest items tab, feed him the Werewolf Meat we obtained earlier.
- Morkvarg then chokes and recognizes that it was his own flesh he is chewing on. This then kills Morkvarg permanently and the garden is now free of the fearsome beast.
- Proceed to meet with Josta inside a nearby shrine to collect the quest reward. This also concludes the quest.
