Orobashi’s Legacy in Genshin Impact

So after helping Yasumoto with the Treatment on the Island quest, we noticed another marking nearby. We went to investigate and found that an NPC is giving out quests not found in our journal.

Prologue

  1. Talk to Kaji to start the quest.
  2. During the conversation we are instructed to observe the nearby ward.

Part I

Observe The Ward

  1. As we interact with the ward, a strange energy is emitted and flows towards the traveler.
  2. We then proceed to investigate the strange energy by using the Elemental Sight. Follow it and see where it leads.

Search For The Missing Parts To Repair The Ward

  1. After some time, we arrive at a ruin. In it is a barrier with a purple glowing orb inside. Also found within the ruin are five enemies. Defeat them so we can proceed with our investigation unimpeded.
  2. After taking care of the enemies, investigate the four pillars outside the ruins. These pillars need to be positioned correctly for us to disable the barrier.
  3. During the inspection, we will notice that one particular pillar is glowing purple. This contains electro energy that can disable the barrier below. To use its energy, we will need to use a character with electro attacks to trigger it.
  4. Position the pillars so the electro energy coming from the unique pillar is bounced in the correct direction and make its way towards the barrier to destroy it.
  5. Once done, glide towards the glowing purple orb (Rock Pillar Pearl) at the center to obtain it.
  6. Below it we will find the second component (Rock Pillar Warding Stone) needed to repair the ward.
  7. Once obtained, return to the ward and replace the missing components. Interact with the ward to immediately access the inventory. Click on the items that are lit up and click Submit. When the required items are in place, click Give.
  8. A cut scene plays showing the effect on the weather when activating the ward. Talk to Kaji about repairing the ward. He will then give us the locations for the other wards.

Part II

The Ward At The Serpents Head

  1. After completing the task for the first ward, we then proceed to the Serpent’s Head to find the second ward.
  2. Once there, we need to defeat the samurai that is guarding the ward. After defeating the enemy, check around to find a Waterlogged Note. This contains the plan to ambush the shogunate.
  3. Proceed to interact with the ward to begin the hunt for its missing parts.
  4. We will have to find a set of pillars and arrange them correctly to break the barrier and obtain the second Rock Pillar Pearl.
  5. Here’s the path the electro energy should take to successfully bounce off of each pillar to reach and destroy the barrier.
  6. We are now able obtain the Rock Pillar Pearl.
  7. To obtain the Rock Pillar Warding Stone, we will have to find this hole in the ground. But before jumping inside, we will need to activate the electrogranum nearby. Make sure you have high electrograna level to be able to disable the barrier inside.
  8. Activate the mechanism to drain the water. The Gourmet Supremos happens to be inside the chamber. They will give a side quest for us to finish, and the items they need are all found in the next chamber.
  9. To proceed, we will need to defeat three monsters guarding three puzzle pieces.
  10. Once the monsters are defeated and the puzzle is solved, a door in the floor opens in this corner of the chamber.
  11. In this chamber, we will find the seagrass needed by the Gourmet Supremos and also the Rock Pillar Warding Stone.
  12. Return to the ward and place the items. This will continue to make weather changes on the island.

Part III

The Ward At Jakotsu Mine

  1. As we approach the mine, we immediately see the pillars used to break the barrier containing the Rock Pillar Pearl.
  2. Here is the sequence in which the electro energy should bounce off the pillars to destroy the barrier.
  3. After obtaining the Rock Pillar Pearl, we will need to find the Rock Pillar Warding Stone next. To do that, we need to enter this cave.
  4. The Warding Stone’s location is at the top most corner opposite the main entrance of the cave.
  5. Activate the electrogranum to get passed the barrier and obtain the Warding Stone.
  6. Place the items back at the ward to further change the island’s weather.

Part IV

  1. Report back to Kaji on a different part of the island.
  2. During the conversation, the ground shakes, and Fort Mumei appears from beneath the waters.

Part V

Investigate Mumei Ruin Interior

  1. Proceed towards the middle of the ruins and investigate.
  2. Surrounding the ruins are the pillars needed to break the barrier. Summon a waverider to set the pillars to their correction positions then attack the main pillar using an electro charged attack.
  3. When done successfully, we will now be able to destroy the barrier containing the Rock Pillar Pearl.
  4. Getting the pearl will not be easy as the Sword Master Maguu Kenki guards the ward.
  5. Defeat the sword master to obtain the pearl located atop the ward.
  6. Then obtain the Warding Stone nearby and place both of them in the ward to repair it.
  7. Report back to Kaji to complete the quest and receive our rewards.

A huge thanks to our in-game and real-life friend, RGC, for helping out with the final battle with Sword Master Maguu Kenki, Tatara Tales, and the Nameless Samurai. The help is greatly appreciated. It goes to show that playing Genshin with friends is very rewarding and satisfying, especially when our own characters are not quite tough enough to take on stronger foes.
